German Embassy lovingly restored.

In September we completed a mammoth project to restore a whole range of plaster needs throughout 11 beautiful rooms.

Our work entailed taking site squeezes, then creating moulds from these squeezes in order to reproduce: cornices, friezes, panels and other fibrous elements. Additionally, we installed the new pliquet acoustic ceiling. Some of the work entailed intricate cornices, recreating Corinthian columns and beaded paneling in Greco-Roman or French Rococo style.

This grade 1-listed building is used by the Ambassador for both business as well as being his and his wife’s permanent home. Therefore the quality and standard of workmanship had to be exquisite.

In total we had 12 men on site – working simultaneously from January to September 2016.

Phew… all in all it tested our skills and team work to the maximum and was a great challenge.
