The extensive fibrous plaster ceiling restoration undertaken by Artisan Plastercraft at Brighton Hippodrome was on full display to the public yesterday (24th July) as building owners Matsim Properties opened the building to visitors to show off the renovation project’s progress and secure local support as it seeks further planning approvals from the local council.
The opportunity of seeing inside the Grade II* listed theatre, which has undergone £5 million worth of restoration work so far, was quick to secure news coverage from local media outlets, including ITV Meridian, BBC Sussex, Brighton & Hove News, and The Argus.
