Our work at the 5-star Hotel Russell included plaster restoration and remodeling of extremely ornate plaster ceilings and walls. We replicated and reinstated intricate ornate ceilings, cornice (to 340 bedrooms), ornate columns and pilasters. Our project expertise was recently featured in the Evening Standard.

Our hard work on this project has been recognised as we won the FIS Silver Award in the “Fibrous and GRG new build” category – read the case study and click here to find out more about the event.

Hotel Russell is a luxury hotel in Russell Square – in the heart of Bloomsbury, London. The hotel has been welcoming guests since 1900 to its Art Deco reception rooms and opulent public areas, including the stunning dining areas – The Palm Court & Banqueting Hall.

In April 2016 it closed for a multi-million-pound refurbishment and re-opened in Spring of 2018 under the rebrand The Principal. The suite and bedroom re-designs are guided by the expertise of Tara Bernard and Partners.

Our work was part of a collaboration with many on-site partners to restore this opulent hotel – retaining and upholding its 5-star glamorous reputation.
